Advice for Rmax 4

The Oem battery in my Rmax didn't last long (just over a year and a half) despite limited extra lighting and a winch for plowing. If replacements keep falling short, is dual battery the way to go for reliable performance under heavy usage?

Yes definitely, the dual battery set up could be helpful since plowing requires a lot of power for accessories like lights and other devices.

I read somewhere tho that a lithium battery is a good alternative too but it's quite pricey

@Sgt.Pepper I'll look into lithium batteries (pricey as they are) they might be worth considering for the long haul.

the dual battery setup is a good choice, but make sure you do everything right. It's not just two wres and another battery, so if you're not sure if you can do it take it to someone who can. Also, check to see if a higher capacity battery will fit. That way you'll remain with a single battery setup, but you won't have to replace it each year

@monkeyfist I decided to upgrade to a higher capacity AGM battery instead. Hoping this upgrade handles the winch and plowing demands better and saves me from yearly replacements.
