Hand-held radio recommendations

My group of buddies and I are looking for some radio recommendations. We're a group of 5, all running different rigs, but mine is a 2023 X4. Last week, we hit a trail where the cell service was basically non-existent. One had a little accident so it took us a while to all regroup. We realized how important it was to still be able to communicate, but also none of us want to deal with the hassle of helmet comms. We're not doing any crazy long-range stuff, mostly just staying in a line of sight or a few miles apart on a trail. Just need something reliable to make sure nobody gets lost or gets into an emergency, and probably for usual heckling.

I've been looking at some of the Midland and Rugged Radios options, but I'm open to anything. What do you all use and what works well for you? Any specific models you'd recommend for a group of five, especially ones that are easy to use and don't require a whole bunch of complicated setup?

I'd go for frs especially if you don't need the range, plus you won't have to bother with licensing and stuff like that. I know people who are using the Motorola T800 and are perfectly happy with it.
